The journey to the desert will begin in Tel-Aviv. In a four-hour drive, you'll see the view changes: From a busy city, to the endless sands, high mountains and the most peaceful area in Israel. In four days, you'll discover the great nature of the small country - and you might even discover yourself again.
The theme of the trip is the group challenge, pushing your limits and listening to your heart (and nature).
ABOUT THE HIKE
VENUE
The starting point will be in Tel-Aviv and a bus will take your group to the south of Israel (about 3-4 hours drive) to the beginning of the trip and the meeting with the hosting scout troop.
SECURITY AND MEDICAL CARE
The trip is approved by the Israeli police, the Nature Protection Society, Israeli Defense Force, Education Minister and the Scout movement. The trip will be accompanied by qualified paramedics and hired security guards.
PARTICIPANTS' PROFILE
The "Trip to the Desert" is an event for Scouts aged between 16 and 18.
Groups that register 5 or more participants must also be accompanied by at least one patrol leader (over 18).
All participants should be active members of their respective Scout organizations and have previous experience in overnight hikes.
DATES
Due to the large numbers of scouts traveling the country during the same week, we have 10 different Desert Trips in 2022.
Each trip will be four days and all of them will be held between December 18th to the 26th.
You will be able choose the best dates for you and we will find a host group for you.
We recommend planning a longer trip in Israel and staying longer before or after the trip!
THE PROGRAM
We are combining hikes and tourism into one amazing journey in our beautiful country.

Days 1, Tel Aviv-Jaffa: after landing in Israel, you will be transferred to Tel-Aviv and Jaffa and tour the city and its landmarks.

Days 2-5, Hike the Desert trip.

Days 6-7, Tour Jerusalem: At the end of the trip, you will tour the holy city of Jerusalem and all of its most special and historical landmarks.
FEES
The fee for participants and patrol leaders includes accommodation, food, tour guide, group bus travel, security, medical care, site entry, bag transfer between parking places and more.
